Caring for a Man’s Health

Created in September 2022, the Prostate Cancer Committee’s most important function is the Prostate Cancer Support Group that gathers together to share experiences and to review diagnosis and treatment options.  The committee’s kickoff was a presentation by the head of oncology at St Peters Hospital.  Join us on the first Tuesday of every other month ( July, September, etc.) at 7 pm in the club house aerobics room.  We also encourage fund raising to support prostate cancer causes.

On February 7, 2023, radiation oncologist Dr. Edward Soffen reviewed recent advancements to treat Prostate Cancer. The field is seeing explosive changes and advances are currently in trials.   We posted the June 18, 2023, fathers day run in West Windsor to benefit prostate cancer awareness.  Remember prostate cancer strikes 1 in 7 males and early detection leads to nearly 100% lifetime in 5 years and 92% over 10 years.  On July 29, PCRI (Prostate Cancer Research Institute) will sponsor a Men’s Health Virtual Conference.  Register at WWW.PCRI.org and see details on the graphic.
